Wayne Oitzman, ABCDT, Owner of The IDEAL Dog, is a certified Canine Behavior and Training Specialist. He recieved his training at Animal Behavioral College located in North Ridge, California and his externship was completed in Phoenix, Arizona. He specializes in obedience and behavior modification and uses positive, gentle, SCIENCE-BASED techniques. Wayne is also a full member of The Association of Pet Dog Trainers, a Canine Life and Social Skills (C.L.A.S.S.) evaluator and is CPR/First Aid certified.

Originally from Iowa, but being a resident of Arizona for the past 24 years, Wayne's past life has consisted of emergency medicine in Madison County, IA and a long career in HVAC both in Iowa and Arizona. However, Wayne has a gift for connecting with animals regardless of the field he was working in. There was always a dog that would catch his attention and he would take time to teach it a thing or two. Dogs respond to him almost immediately. Even the earliest pictures of Wayne are of him with a family pet.

Your dog will love learning with the positive methods that Wayne will develop for you and your canine friend. He will also make sure you have a chance to apply what you are learning throughout the process.
